This early Ottoman building was constructed at the beginning of the 16th century and named after Sultan Salim I.

Al-Tekiya Al-Salimiya was used as a kitchen to distribute free food to pilgrims visiting the Tomb of Ibn Arabi in the Salihiya Quarter.
