Umayyad Square, Damascus, Syria
The Umayyad Square, named after the Umayyad Empire whose capital was Damascus, is a main traffic hub with many of the city’s landmarks surrounding it.

These landmarks are the National Opera House, the Assad Library, the Sheraton Hotel, the Syrian Television Headquarters, Tishreen Park and a 1950s monument depicting the Damascus Sword.
