Mulabas

The name of this popular Damascene snack is derived from the Arabic term for “Dressed Up”. It refers to the dressing up of an almond or a pistachio nut with a sugar coating.

The technique for making Mulabas was developed in Damascus more than two centuries ago.

This popular snack, which comes in a variety of colours, is usually given out on special occasions such as weddings and baby showers.
