The Seljuq King Nour Eddine Zengi built this Islamic school in the second half of the 12th century.

Dar Al-Hadith Al-Nouriya was the first school in the Islamic world to specialise in the “Hadith”, the teaching of Prophet Mohammad’s sayings and acts.
