Making History from Damascus

Baibars (1223 – 1277) is the Mamluk Sultan who ruled over Syria and Egypt.

He is most famous for defeating and ending the presence of the Crusaders in the Orient.

He is also famous for defeating the Mongols and paving the way for the Mamluk Empire to flourish.

Baibars’s tomb is enshrined inside Al-Madrasa Al-Zahiriya in Damascus Old City.
