Ibn Arabi

Making History from Damascus

Ibn Arabi (1165–1240) is a major Muslim Sufi philosopher who was born in Al-Andalus.

After travelling throughout North Africa and the Middle East, Ibn Arabi settled in Damascus where his open-minded ideas and teachings were and still are highly regarded by many Syrians.

He is laid to rest in Ibn Arabi Mosque.
